Windsurfing: Felixstowe Dip Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: F4 Surf / Sea State: waves and chop Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: ok Weather: sunny Max Speed: 26.71 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 25.3 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)
After yesterday disaster sailing in rough water, started sailing on low
tide in the NE wind and the sea was much better. River near the bar was
great with nice swell waves to ride in. Went into kite zone in the river
mouth then bombed a couple of downwind runs between waves which was nice.
Couldn't do it too much as wind with tide was pushing you downwind for the
walk of shame.
River mouth was a bit shallow earlier just touching fin in the troughs.
Much prefer the big kit sailing in nice seas on low tide. Later at high
tide sea went lumpy but OK.
Several out, but knackered at 6 so end a very nice session.
Fell in a few times on the outer - don't know why, but insure gybing was
much easier
